Lightmediahouse: My name is Philip Miebaka Somiari, I  Am a graduate of Electrical and Information engineering from Landmark University, I just graduated this month.  I am also a Photographer/cinematographer

Lifestyleof9ja: What inspired you to establish lightmediahouse
Lightmediahouse: We saw the need for originality, creativity and excellence in arts, photography and cinematography without compromising our virtues and values as Christians, as Nigerians, Photography that would inspire. We also wanted to be part of people's lives, helping them immortalize worthy moments. We did not just want photography/cinematography, we wanted value adding contents, notwithstanding the fact that it is a very lucrative art.
Lifestyleof9ja: What is the aim your organization
Lightmediahouse: Our aim is to hlp our clients immortalise moments of Joy, hapiness, achievements, change and any other memory worthy event, so whenever they look at the images, they relive those moments, we also hope to change/impact lives and lifestyle with our personal photoprojects. we hope to be a multiple award spinning mediahouse.
Lifestyleof9ja: Yea you are right. Have you encountered any challenges so far?
Lightmediahouse: Yea, it's not been so easy. Photography/cinematography is capital intensive And the exchange rate does not make anything easier
I've had to borrow and rent gears often times. There was also the problem of mobilization, getting your models and make-up artists together especially for shooting my own portfolio was not so easy at first, cos they all thought, he's just a learner, he's not so good, but with time they see your works, and they begin to believe in you, and then start coming to you for shoots, sometimes for free And then there's the client that doesn't want to pay as agreed, there are the friends that want free pictures, ENTERTAINMENT There's also the issue of getting permits for photodocumentaries and security too
Lifestyleof9ja: Yea you are right, Its a lot.
So how have you been able to cope with all this listed problems?
Lightmediahouse: You do as you can when you can.Try to get as much money from the friends without spoiling the friendship
Get the gears u can, save almost all earnings to buy new gears
Compromise for some clients when necessary, stand your ground when required
Lifestyleof9ja: On getting your models and make up artist how do you  go about that
Lightmediahouse: Well, I use friends, or anyone willing, most of the girls are, lol, they all want free pictures afterall, but not all get the poses right, and then the pictures don't come out as good as you had it in your head  I was lucky to be in Landmark University when I started, many MUA's looking for ways to show what they could do, so you meet the ones that disappoint less
Lifestyleof9ja: Wow thats cool, So what plan do you have for lightmediahouse
Lightmediahouse: Well at lightmediahouse, we say the world is our studio, We plan to be an internationally recognised multi award spinning We hope to change life and lifestyle with photography, to impact lives in our own way... We have a particular series we're working ryt now,"the abuse series" that shows and discourages violence against women, we have more of such photo projects coming soon
Lifestyleof9ja: Wow cool
Which social media platform do you use to achieve publicity ?
Lightmediahouse: Well, instagram (@lightmediahouse), twitter (@lightmediahouse), facebook (@lightmediahouse), www.54artistry.com/lightmediahouse, my personal linkedin profile, and we're currently working on our website www.lightmediahouse.com
Lifestyleof9ja: Thanks for ur time Lightmediahouse: You're welcome, thank you

LEARN FROM YOUNG MODELS: teminikanijesu idowu

Nothing comes easy even modelling, and it is not all about beauty, style or the swaggs, its about self determination, hardwork and a lots more. Lifestyleof9ja sat down with a young model teminikanijesu idowu to talk about life as a model, the challenges, the blessings etc.
Lifestyleof9ja: So can you tell us about yourself

I attended primary and secondary schools in Ibadan And presently am an undergraduate student of the University of Ibadan studying Crop protection and Environmental biology
Lifestyleof9ja: Then why modelling
Teminikan: It has been a tender dream while growing up I became more determined about this passion in secondary school when I would see pictures of celebrities and models in magazines looking too good and I want to be just like them
Lifestyleof9ja: What are the measures taken to achieve this dream
Teminikan: Oh well At first I got to meet people who knew people in the modelling industry, connection was a major key for me Made a lot of things work better, From there i started doing various shoots with the photographers I knew, other photographers showed interest and from there the journey started
Lifestyleof9ja: Wow! Are there any challenges you encounter?
Teminikan: Oh yeah plenty and plenty challenges
Lifestyleof9ja: Can you tell us about them
Teminikan: The main challenges I encountered were the disappointments that sometimes happens after a shoot has being planned or fixed for a particular date and things are cancelled just to make it happen and then it won't hold just because prop isn't available or the Makeup artist wouldn't show up or camera equipment faults. So about people's critism, We are humans, critism is inevitable but I can't say sometimes i am not affected by what people say Tho I love what I do and can't stop till I have made an household out of it I also love my reputation, We are just like actresses,it's never good to judge a book by its cover, I try to do the right things always
Lifestyleof9ja: What motivates you to continue despite this challenges
Teminikan: I am a true believer, I believe in Christ Jesus, And I know he wants nothing but the best for me in life, And nobody believes in me as much as I believe in myself.
Lifestyleof9ja: Which area or aspect do you think the modelling industry needs to improve on
Teminikan: Majorly the shows, I think higher payments should be given to models for fashion shows Also there should be some form of fair way to select models for these shows Lifestyleof9ja: What are your achievements so far in the industry?
Teminikan: I have worked with a number of top photographers in the industry, the likes of emmanuel oyeleke, spotlightpi, ternaiwar, timmydavies, and I have met loads of others Also I have worked with top designers in Nigeria, the likes of Frank and Co lagos, ejiroamostafiri, orange cultureng, dapmod, tosin akinyemiju, tobi olajolo etc, Worked with a lot of great Makeup Artists as well. Lifestyleof9ja: Wow exceptional, What advice will you give upcoming models
Teminikan: My advice to upcoming models is that they should put the best in everything they do,from the most serious photo shoots to the most "minute "selfies on Instagram and they should ask for God's favour always.
Lifestyleof9ja: teminikan thanks so much for your time

LEARN FROM YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS: seun edema

With the rapid growth in the rate of unemployment in Nigeria, it is unwise to plan ones life based on white collar jobs or so called government job's. You have to be able to learn and create and become a boss of your own. Lifestyleof9ja sat down with a young and talented entrepreneur seun edema
Lifestyleof9ja: Can you tell us about your self and your organization
Seun: I am Oluwaseun Edema , a 200l student of economics in the university of Ibadan. I am a fashion designer amongst other things. My brand name is Stitch and its a clothing line that caters for both sexes.

Seun: Of course I have, Financial challenges is the major one, And there's also the challenge of making your brand known well enough for people to patronize you.

Seun: Thru bbm: 59100b65 , u can call my phone no: 07066350782 or u can DM me on IG either on my clothing line page @_.stitch or my personal page @seun.edema.
Lifestyleof9ja: As a young entrepreneur what advice will you give upcoming entrepreneurs trying to follow your footsteps?
Seun: Never give up on your dreams. Its hard ,yes, you invest a lot and its like you re not even getting anything out of it,but giving up is not an option. Keep learning, keep working, keep growing. I am not where I want to be yet but I am working towards my dreams and goals. And most importantly stick with God. He is the one that can just turn everything around in your business. In short God rocks.
Lifestyleof9ja: Thank you so much for your time
