Trump's executive order affects Nigerians...no more drop box for renewing of Visas! We have to go for interviews again!

So for those Nigerians who are used to renewing their visas via drop box, where you send your Passport via mail and collect it via mail, and don't have to do any interviews again after you've been given a US Visa, that has stopped under Donald Trump's administration. Whether you've visited the US one million times before or not, under this new immigration policy, once your visa expires, you have to go do an interview at the embassy again. In an executive order signed on (Jan. 27), US president Donald Trump instructed the State Department to immediately suspend the US’s Visa Interview Waiver Program.

It’s an interesting action by a president who has made trade a central tenet of his policy platform, since it could, in the short term, inconvenience many frequent visitors to the US (and even dissuade them from visiting) by forcing them to have a face-to-face interview with a US consular officer every time their visa expires rather than simply dropping off their passport at a consulate.

Suspending the program could wreak havoc on US consular operations around the world that handle frequent visits from travelers seeking short term visas. The Visa Interview Waiver Program allows travelers to renew travel authorizations without an in-person interview.

The action is not expected to have any effect on the widely popular Visa Waiver Program, familiar to many by its front-line system, ESTA. That program allows nationals of 38 countries—including much of Europe—to enter the US without securing a visa at a consulate first.

A State department spokesman could not immediately confirm the precise effects of suspending this program, but said that it would announce any changes affecting travelers to the US as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the ponzi scheme issued new guidelines on Wednesday.

It said, “As a necessary measure, we decided to set limit to withdrawal this week thus the N31,000 maximum withdrawal on your PO.

“We are still committed to prioritise paying smaller amounts first and gradually increase the amount to higher ones. The system does the calculations and knows how to calculate everyone’s mavros.

“Between Friday that we opened and today, hundreds of thousands of GH orders have been matched.
More and more GH orders will be matched as time goes on. If you see error notification when trying to GH, just keep trying.

“PH to GH is still a suggestion to be tabled before Sergey Mavrodi for consideration. Disregard any info suggesting that you must PH to GH till further announcement in your PO. Freezing of bonuses for now is another suggestion to be tabled before Sergey Mavrodi for his consideration. Which means if approved, you will only be able to GH your personal contributions for now until the system recovers and stabilises.”

Bode came back from Lagos on saturday. He passed two nights in our house. He was so surprised at how he was warmly received by my parents and siblings. He really didn’t give me the details, but I knew he gave Pastor the full gist. With time, my dad became a loving dad to Bode. They were always talking of each other.

Bode’s 21st birthday met him in Lagos and according to him, my family marked it for him in a little way, which he really appreciated.

He proposed to me, but I turned it down immediately. Not because I didn’t have feelings for him, but because of the age difference.

When I told mummy about it, her reply surprised me.”Go and pray about it my dear. Whatever God asks you to do, do it.. but about the issue of age difference, it has no meaning.”
“But….Ma, even if God comes down to tell me to marry him, I don't think i can. How can i marry someone i’m 4 years older than? He’s just 21 and I’m 25.”
She laughed n said “Is there anywhere it is written in the bible that husband must be older than his wife? The bible only says that wives should be submissive to their own husbands and as a result of that, we have programmed it in our minds that the only person we could be submissive to, must be someone older than us. For your information, I’m 3 years older than my husband (your dad) . If I didn’t tell you now, how would u know?
Go and pray my dear and let God’s will be done”.

I prayed and I didnt have any restriction in my spirit. I told my Pastor about it and they prayed for us. My parents also agreed with the union and we got married at Ikeja Registry in december, after which we went for marriage blessings at my parents’ church.

I had a bouncing baby boy on d 17th of January, named Oluwadarasimi (Meaning: God is good to me). I decided to stay with the Williams until i had d BABY…..

Upcoming US actor, Jay Bowdy commits suicide on Facebook Live

On Monday Jan. 23. 2017, actor Jay Bowdy committed suicide while streaming on Facebook Live. It is unclear what prompted the 34 year old up-and-coming actor to take his life. In a letter, one the Bowdy's friends wrote:



“I feel like I have failed you as a friend and for that I am truly sorry. In the time we spent together, there were some true heart to hearts,” she wrote. "I’m not one to express much, but I feel the need to because my heart is so heavy. My open letter to you. Though I haven’t known you long, we built a relationship that was strong. I’m sitting here looking through our last text messages and trying to figure out where I went wrong, what I missed, what I could have done differently to have been there for you in your time of need.”


Bowdy was born in San Antonio Texas and was the first person to earn a college degree on his father's side. He also has a Masters degree.




After his death, people kept sharing his Facebook live until they were asked to stop sharing it. Others reported the video to Facebook and the one on his page has since been taken down.



Bowdy had his first child at 18 and got married to his wife when he was 25. He had 2 kids from a previous relationship, and 4 children with his wife. He is survived by his wife, his 3 sons and 3 daughters.

Soldiers Beat Redeemed Pastor Into Coma For Refusing To "Frog Jump"

A pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God , Abuja , Alex Ochienu , said he was assaulted and beaten by two soldiers into a coma for refusing to obey their order to do frog jumps . The cleric alleged that he was flogged by Cpl. M . Dankwa and his colleague whose name he did not know , until he collapsed and was rushed to the Gwarimpa General Hospital where he was admitted at the Emergency ward.

The civil engineer said he was supervising construction works at Paradise Estate , Life Camp , Abuja when the soldiers invaded the site with officials of the Development Control Department and assaulted him and other workers. Ochienu told Northern City News on Tuesday that the soldiers beat him with rifle butts and kicked him in the stomach simply because he told them he could not obey their order to do frog jumps as he was fasting.

The engineer said he lost his phone during the incident which occurred on January 17, 2017 at 3pm. Ochienu said despite his pleas to the rampaging soldiers that he was fasting, they refused to listen , but rather flogged him until he collapsed .

He said , “ The soldiers rushed into the site and ordered everyone to frog- jump ; they flogged the workers and threatened to shoot us . I tried to explain to them that I was weak because I was fasting, but Dankwa was infuriated by my explanation.
“ He kicked me in the stomach ; another soldier also joined in beating me till I collapsed . When they saw that I was almost lifeless , they left and I was rushed to the hospital by the workers. ”

The cleric said he learnt the soldiers apologised to the owners of the estate “ for their mistake. ”
But Ochienu said he planned to take legal action against the Development Control Department and the military for the assault .
The Paradise Estate Project Manager , Tobias Tokbe , said he was not at the scene, but added that beside Ochienu , another worker, Bem Ali , was also brutalised by the soldiers without any reason .

He said , “ I was discussing with the development control officials at the project office when I saw some workers carrying somebody and they told me Ochienu was beaten by the soldiers that accompanied the development control officials to the site ; I was livid .

“ I immediately called the development control director who said he didn’t authorise the soldiers to attack anyone . We asked the soldier why he beat up the engineer and he said Ochienu grabbed his jacket , which we know was a lie. ”

Tokbe said the riot policemen guarding the estate almost fought with the soldiers after the incident.
When contacted , the Development Control Director, Muktar Galadima, said he was informed about the incident and “ I said sorry , but I didn’t see the victim of the attack.

Lai Mohammed Directs NBC To Investigate Location Controversy of Big Brother Naija

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported shooting in South Africa of the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria Reality Show.

In a statement in Abuja issued on Tuesday, the Minister told NBC to determine whether Multi-Choice has breached the Nigerian Broadcasting Code by shooting the show in South Africa.

Mohammed further said the commission should also look into the issue of possible deceit, since the viewing public was never told that the event would be staged outside Nigeria.

The minister therefore said as a country of laws, only the outcome of the investigation will determine the next line of action the country takes on Multi Choice.

Alhaji Mohammed said while concerned Nigerians have bombarded his office with calls to complain about what they regard as an anomaly (of shooting outside the country a show meant for Nigerians), they should remain calm while the NBC investigates the issue and submits its findings.

On a new episode of Mariah Carey's reality show, Mariah's World, the sexy diva surprised her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, with a lap dance while performing on stage. Bryan, who is one of Mariah's dancers was not on stage with her due to an injury he sustained during the tour, then as Bryan watched Mariah perform, unsuspecting, he was suddenly carried on stage and blindfolded and Mariah proceeded to give him the moment of his life as she ground against his lap.

A Church Girl's Tale - Episode 18

...Episode 18...

After writing his exams, Bode came home. One Sunday after service, I saw Pastor Williams holding his hand and they both entered the pastor’s office.
When they wouldn't come out after about one hour thirty minutes, Pastor Mrs said I should let us go home that she would come back to the church later to pick Pastor.

So we left to go and prepared lunch as the children were hungry. About one hour after we got home, Pastor Williams trekked home with Bode. I didn't need anybody to tell me he had been seriously scolded. He was looking like a kid whose mother didn't remember to drop the key of the cupboard where his lunch was kept before she left the house.

Mummy and I were in the kitchen when they came in. Bode came to meet us there, greeted mummy and then turned to me. “Please, we need to talk privately, Pastor said I should come and meet you, so we can talk and sort things out.”
I wondered why, but then I turned to mummy “Am I allowed ma?”. “Of course,my dear. Go to ur room”, She answered.

We both went inside the room and left the door widely opened. Goodness and Mercy (Pastor’s five year old twins) ran after us to the room. I heard their mum shouting from the kitchen “Come here o, Mercy!, Goodness!!.. Aunty Sewa will soon come and join you, don't disturb them”.

As soon as the children left, Bode said “Please, I'm sorry for everything I've put you through. Pastor have made me realise my mistake, he really spoke to me. He even asked if I’m born again. I told him i am. I only yielded to the call of the flesh. He made me to pray a prayer of forgiveness, and I believe you have done the same, i also believe God has forgiven us. I promise you and God, just as I've promised my Pastor, that such will never happen again, not with you or any other woman, except the one I eventually get married to. Please, find a place in your heart to forgive me.” He started shedding tears.

I asked him if he wouldn't mind going to Lagos to meet my dad. He said he didn't want to go initially, but Pastor Williams told him to go, so he has decided to go. He said he would go during the week. I gave him my dad’s number and he called him right there.

Daddy told him to come on Thursday or Friday, as he won't be in Lagos from Monday to Wednesday.
When he left, i told mummy everything we discussed.
She said “Thank God he’s able to realise his mistakes. Don't worry, God will surely perfect everything. Let’s just keep praying. He never fails.”

Again, we prayed about Bode’s meeting with my dad that God’s perfect will should be done. She asked if i had an idea of what my dad wanted to discuss with Bode.
I said i had no idea, that my mum only told me that she had been talking to daddy everyday about my case, and she really begged him before he could agree to come to Oyan to meet Bode’s mum. And as God would have it,they needed to attend that programme at Ikirun which was just a few kilometers to Oyan. “Well,all shall be well”. She answered.

Finally,Thursday came. Bode called me very early in the morning, to inform me that he was at the park, waiting for bus to be full and then, he would be on his way to Lagos.

What happened in Lagos?.
What did he come back with?.

Choi! All in the name to get green card! a 32-year-old man is trending online after photos of his wedding to an older white woman circulated on social media.
According to a witness, the man reportedly from Ondo State was very elated and couldn’t contain his excitement after tying the knot with the woman at Ikoyi registry in Lagos.

Ba mi dupe luwo oluwa ooo.. Mo ti fe oyinbo, jesu seun” (Help me thank God, I’ve married a white). Those were the words of this young man while receiving a phone call, just after tying the knot with this white woman at the Ikoyi registry earlier today.
Apparently, I was meant to understand that such thing happens almost everyday at the registry. Young Nigerian men come in with different foreign “oldie mama youngie’s”, all for the Paper’s and the Chedda. It’s more a like trend!
Obviously, the desire to get a “by-fire-by-force green card” has really blinded alot of Nigerian men or how else does one explain why a 32 year old man would bring home a foreign grandmother for marriage without the elderly in his family berating him.
Honestly, I thought the Yoruba has got culture. What has happened? Because the man in question is a Yoruba man, from Ondo State precisely.
As a matter of fact, i was also rightly informed that the young man is married with two kids. Guess, his wife travelled or something, but his kids were present at the court wedding. And from where I sat, I overheard the kids calling him “Daddy..Daddy”, and the man replied in Yoruba disgruntledly ” E ma pe mi ni daddy mo, se e ti gbo”. (Don’t call me daddy, hope you’ve heard).

At that point, i knew something funny was going on.
But then, on a more serious note. Have things become that bad that Nigerian men have to be deceitful? Truly, wisdom is profitable to direct!!!
