Receiving visitors can be really stressful.
If you live in Nigeria you’re probably used to dealing with a lot of annoying guests and having to play the graceful host. Here are some of the most annoying things Nigerian guests do.
1. Show up without announcing
Like, who does that? They just show up at your front door without calling or letting you know and expect to be fed.

2. Eat all your food
When they come, just know that you have to prepare a full meal that you didn’t plan for.

3. Be fake polite
Sometimes when you ask them what they want to eat/drink, they spend the first 10 minutes pretending like they don’t want anything, only to tell you ‘Okay, I’ll manage a bottle of coke’.

4. Give unsolicited commentary
They talk about everything! From how your rug doesn’t match your curtain to how you should move out of your present apartment into a more befitting one.

5. Drop by when they know you definitely have food
Some visitors drop by only at mealtimes. You hear them knock immediately your Sunday rice is ready, and they come ready to eat.

6. Ask you to change the channel
Some visitors can be really rude. They’d ask you to change the channel from whatever it is you’re watching to ‘Africa Magic’ or ‘News’.

7. Interfere when your parents are scolding you
Some of them love to contribute to private family matters and will gladly give their two cents when your parents are scolding you.

8. Act like you’re their maid
Some visitors make demands that have no limit! They’d send you on countless errands and make sure you keep going back and forth.

9. Refuse to give you money when they’re leaving
After eating all the food in your house, some of them won’t even dash you small change when they’re leaving.

10. Refuse to leave
We all have that uncle who came to spend just a few days but ended up staying for 10 years.
